ABOUT GCU

Phoenix, Arizona-based Grand Canyon University (GCU) is a private, for-profit Christian university. Southern Baptists established it as a nonprofit organisation in 1949, and it has since expanded to become the biggest Christian university in the country.

Through its nine colleges, GCU offers more than 200 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programmes.

Direct start applicants must meet one of the following requirements: they must submit acceptable high school or college transcripts; they must demonstrate academic excellence in their chosen major; they must be at least 16 years old; and they must provide proof of financial aid. 

Transfer students seeking entry into GCU’s undergraduate degree programmes should also meet certain admission requirements, such as having 6-24 transferrable college credits and post-secondary (college) transcripts with an unweighted GPA of 2.75 or above.
