Fordham University is a private Jesuit research university in New York City, established in 1841 and named after the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx.

Courses offered at Fordham University

Fordham University offers a wide range of courses, including undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of history, business administration, communication and media management, fashion studies, field study, film and television, finance, humanities, and social sciences. The department of History also offers seven to nine graduate courses each semester, supplemented by course offerings in other programs such as English, Medieval Studies, and Theology. Additionally, students can choose from over 70 undergraduate degrees and 130 graduate degrees, and advanced certificate programs across three campuses.

Fordham University admission requirements

Fordham University has very high admission requirements for SAT and ACT scores, generally admitting students who score in the top 18 percent (SAT 1230/1410 ACT 27/32). The school also requires applicants to have at least a mix of A’s and B’s, with more A’s than B’s, as well as an overall GPA of 3.64 and good test scores on either the SAT or ACT. Additionally, applicants must submit official transcripts of all coursework taken at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, including study abroad transcripts, and answer two questions asked by all applicants to GSE. For doctoral applicants only, they must also answer three additional questions. International students may need to meet additional requirements depending on their program of interest.

Fordham University application deadline

The application deadline for Fordham University is March 15, 2023, for Fall 2023 admission. Early Action applications must be submitted by October 15, 2022. For Spring Semester admission, the application deadline is November 1. The Regular Decision deadline has been extended to January 15. Applications are usually due in early January and decisions are usually sent out by early April. Students looking to enroll at Fordham in January should submit their applications by November 1
