Downdetector showed a substantial spike in complaints about Standard Bank’s services from around 07:00.

When users seek to log onto Internet Banking and the Mobile Banking App, we are currently seeing poor response times. We are attempting to fix this," it stated.
A MyBroadband employee attempted to launch the app and was successful in signing in, but was unable to access any account details.

Standard Bank’s status page shows that the bank acknowledged the problem at 08:48 and said it is experiencing degraded performance with its Internet Banking and mobile banking app login.
The bank urged customers to register on the service status page.

By dialing *120*2345# and following the on-screen instructions, customers who are unable to transact can use our cellular banking. We apologize for the inconvenience.

MyBroadband was notified by Standard Bank that the issues with logging into its mobile banking app and Internet banking have been fixed.
As of right now, "all of our Internet and Mobile Banking services have been fully restored," the bank declared.
